Wie erscheint die deutsche Sprache im Vergleich zu anderen Sprachen? Welche Rolle hat Deutsch als akademischer Lehr- und Forschungsgegenstand im anderssprachigen Ausland? Es sind Germanisten aus anderssprachigen Ländern und einige 'Binnengermanisten', die diesen Fragen nach aktuellen und tradierten Außenansichten der deutschen Sprache nachgehen. In den Beiträgen werden Außenansichten des Deutschen unter den folgenden Aspekten behandelt Deutsch im Kontrast zu anderen Sprachen Typologische Merkmale des Deutschen im europäischen Vergleich Schwierigkeiten und Vorzüge des Deutschen aus der Sicht anderer Sprachen Kuriositäten der deutschen Sprache aus der Außenansicht Meinungen und stereotype Einstellungen zum Deutschen in verschiedenen Ländern Motive und Ziele von Germanistik und Deutschunterricht im anderssprachigen Ausland

Der Tagungsband möchte das interdisziplinäre Gespräch zwischen Sprach- und Rechtswissenschaft ein weiteres Mal und vor dem Hintergrund aktueller gesellschaftlicher Entwicklungen anregen. Die hierfür ausgewählten Themen werden sowohl aus linguistischer wie aus juristischer Perspektive, d.h. von Sprachwissenschaftlerinnen und Sprachwissenschaftlern sowie von Juristinnen und Juristen beleuchtet: Verhältnis von Sprache, Recht, Öffentlichkeit und Politik, Kommunikation vor Gericht, eine z.T. sprach- bzw. rechtsphilosophische Sicht auf rechtsrelevante Äußerungen, Fragen der Auslegung insbesondere angesichts der verzweigten Intertextualität des Rechts, historische und aktuelle (auf die europäische Einigung zurückzuführende) Wandlungen von Rechts- und Sprachsystemen, der Nutzen der Linguistik für die Kriminologie sowie Ursachen und Lösungen für die Schwerverständlichkeit von Gesetzen. This volume presents a collection of contributions by linguists and lawyers on topical questions of the interconnections between language and law, and opens up a wide range of theoretical, methodological and practical approaches to aspects such as politics and the public domain, court proceedings, criminology, the editing of legislation, legal training, and the Europeanisation of law.
